Some more info about my world, this time some facts about the magical situation. On the picture – Eliza as an enchantress.

Situated in Samer – capital of Pharidian Empire – Tower of Mysteries is the world main centre of magic. University, library, research centre, political value and even more. This place is a mystery even for its inhabitants, many of its secrets are still kept behind its walls...

Anyway, Tower can be also called the center of "orginised" magic. It trains qualified wizards who later get official jobs in their homelands and obey the rules set by the Tower Council. To be precise, almost every country in the world has its own national Tower of Magic - branches of samerian one. Their graduates work as battle wizards, town healers, advisors, researchers, archivists. It is a great honour to study in such tower. But although this system is very strong and has no equal enemies, it has a lot of local rivals, such as vulpine Spirit Witches and Dawn Helares or dwarven Rune Enchanters which compete with Towers in getting magically gifted students in their own lands. However Council has rather favourable attitude towards these organizations because they help keep wizards under control and don’t allow magical chaos.

Tower of Mysteries is controlled by Council of Archmages, each of them represents one of the species populating Pharidian Empire – wolves, foxes, tigers, cats, jackals, humans, dwarves and others. Of course it brings many additional intrigues and leads to confrontations, that’s why archmages must always be attentive in order not to get poison in their food and drink. The head of the Counicl is Primage. For the last 98 years this post has been occupied by human wizard Tilnemash – 169 year old half-paralyzed wreck, whose horrible health is compensated by his magical powers and sharp mind. Still many archmages are sure that Tilnemash keeps Tower stagnant and even marasmic, that’s why he must be replaced. But all attempts to remove him bring no success at all…
